performers, the Girlfriend Pure Pole Angels will be taking to the poles
again in the semi-finals of Australia's Got Talent, Tuesday 1 June, 7:30pm on Channel 7. Watch the show and vote for the Pure Pole Angels to go through to the Grand Final!

The Girlfriend Pure Pole Angels will be starring in Australia's Got Talent Brisbane auditions show, Tuesday 7:30pm on Channel 7. Tune in to see the triple pole dance performance by Kym, Michelle and Emma, bringing their unique style of pole dancing for fitness to national television.
Michelle, Kym and Emma (pictured left) are pole dance title holders, having performed and competed nationally and internationally. The Pure Pole Angels can be booked for performances by contacting Natalie on 0410 809 149.

The Official Australian Pole Dance Championships
The Australian Pole Dance Championships™ will be run for the first time in 2009 and will showcase pole dancing in Australia.
Hosted in Melbourne in November, the championships will be run over three days, providing a national gathering that facilitates networking between competitors and the pole dance industry.

Nat and Kym will be touring New Zealand in August and in conjunction with Kiwi Pole Fitness, running pole dance workshops for students. Kym will also be performing at Old School in Wellington on August 22nd. Miss Pole Dance Australia 2008
Congratulations to Girlfriend performers Kym and Alicia who competed in the Miss Pole Dance Australia 2008 competition and made it through to the national finals. Kym came 2nd place in Miss Pole Dance Queensland and Alicia won 1st place in Miss Pole Dance Victoria but was unable to compete at nationals due to an injury.
This is the 3rd consecutive year that Girlfriend performers have won titles in Miss Pole Dance Australia and ranked as some of the nation's best pole dancers. Semester 2 timetable for pole fitness classes at UQ Sport
The new timetable for Semester 2 pole fitness classes at UQ Sport has been announced and is available on the classes page. Classes start in the week of August 11. Book in now, or try pole dancing out in the upcoming free taster class.

A warm thank you to the wonderful Jamilla who shared her time and skills with us, and inspired us all during the pole dance workshops she taught! Fun was had all round as we spun and danced up a storm on the poles!

Jamilla is a professional dancer and has danced for much of her life.
She has also performed in the world of burlesque, and trained in trapeze, corde lisse (aerial rope) and tissue (aerial silks) and continues to train in the latter to this day.
Jamilla was the first dancer ever to win the title of Miss Pole Dance Australia. With that title she has been invited to perform pole dancing in Europe as well as the finest clubs in Australia.
Jamilla is the creator of the Art of Pole® brand of pole dance courses and the new DVD series.

Pole dance classes at UQ Sport
Offered as part of the lifestyle course options at UQ Sport, Girlfriend Fun and Fitness are running pole fitness classes at the University of Queensland St Lucia campus!
Classes will be run in 6 week blocks, with three different time slots to choose from.
Option 1: Monday 10 March (2.00pm - 3.00pm)
Option 2: Wednesday 12 March (5.30pm - 6.30pm)
Option 3: Friday 14 March (6.30pm - 7.30pm)

Miss Pole Dance Australia 2007
Congratulations to Girlfriend Fun and Fitness instructor and performer, Bec, who was awarded 2nd place in Miss Pole Dance Australia 2007. Bec took out 2nd place in this national competition with a powerful pole performance, competing against Australia's top pole dancers.
Girlfriend Fun and Fitness instructors and performers, Alicia and Kym, tied for 1st place in the state finals, winning the 2007 title of Miss Pole Dance Queensland!
